ARCHIBUS Space Occupancy and Internet of Things (IoT)
If you track occupancy level in your organization, with or without ARCHIBUS, you know the difficulty to achieve and maintain accurate occupancy metrics. Monitoring occupancy in many cases is a manual work, verified by floor surveys, which is an endless battle in a sizable facility.
ARCHIBUS IoT Add-On Solution can automate the manual survey-based occupancy tracking to monitor a real-time Space utilization, by importing data from Sensors (motion, infra-red and optical) and providing analysis and reporting. The real time utilization values can be compared with the assigned occupancy information, which can be adjusted accordingly. Occupancy plans can be compared with real-time utilization heat maps for better space planning. This is valuable for assigned desks as well as agile workspaces, where large number of staff occupies fewer seats, and helps to calculate more accurately the space needed in the agile workspaces.

ARCHIBUS v23.2 Workplace Services: Reservations
The Web Central Reservations application has a series of improvements within V.23.2.
ICS Invitations
The application can send ICS invitations even when the system is not using Microsoft Exchange integration.
These invitations now include time zone information, so daylight savings time changes are correctly applied
for recurring meetings. Meeting cancellation ICS files include the recurrence pattern to cancel recurring
meetings.
ICS Invitation Templates
The invitation emails and ICS files are defined via message templates for easy personalization.
Reservation Cancellations
You can now cancel a reservation without cancelling the entire meeting. When you cancel a reservation in
Web Central, you can now choose to leave the meeting on the organizer’s calendar. The meeting organizer
can then invite the attendees to a location that doesn’t require a room reservation (such as their personal
office) without creating a new meeting on their Outlook calendar.
