Course Title:  ACAD Architectural Comprehensive       -       24 days 192 hours + lab
Focus: This program provides the individual with in-depth and comprehensive instruction where the student will learn basic computer skills as well as the fundamental concepts, and advanced topics using the latest version of AutoCAD. The course will include instruction on how AutoCAD is used in the Architectural, Mechanical, and Civil applications. This class will help displaced workers re-enter the workforce. Supervised lab time is included.
 
Objectives: You will learn to develop the basic computer skills needed to operate many of today's standard computers. You will discover some techniques using the latest version of AutoCAD The latest version of AutoCAD will be taught techniques that will make you more proficient in various fields including the architectural and mechanical industries. Also included is an introduction to Architectural Desktop and Autodesk Inventor, two of most commonly used in the architectural and engineering industries software
 

Upon completion of the course, you will:		 Be taught the basic computer skills needed to operate Windows.Learn standard operations such as using the mouse, file management, and the windows environment.
Become familiar with AutoCAD's User Interface.
Understand the basic concepts and features of the software. Develop accurate technical drawings with the use of precision drafting tools. Build a level of confidence with AutoCAD through hands-on experience. Learn the importance of using Standards through creating a Drawing Template. Have an understanding of AutoCAD's command structure and how to use it. Learn how to create, insert, and modify Blocks using the Design Center. Create and insert External References and Attributes, Insert predefined symbols by using Tool Palettes. Be introduced into 3D Solid Modeling. Develop 2D drawings out of 3D solids.
Edit features by using Grips. Be introduced to Architectural Desktop and Autodesk Inventor.
